It was wonderful to spend the 4th with family and eat good food. I learned a new way to toss sweet potato fries (in a gallon baggie, with olive oil and lemon pepper seasoning), and how to boil corn on the cob (with lemon juice), but that’s not the best part.
My aunt and uncle looked for gluten-free buns.
They asked for help at Kroger and couldn’t find buns, so instead they picked up a loaf of Kinnikinnick white bread.
My favorite bread.
And it was fun to answer their questions about gluten intolerance, Celiac disease, and my experiences.
